Wallets, watch straps, key rings... each Decoster item is handmade in Belgium in a wide choice of leathers from the most luxurious tanneries and the largest French leather distributors.
BARANIL SMOOTH CALF
Baranil is a very high-end French calfskin and world famous. This leather, twice tanned, is specially finished to highlight the beauty of its grain with a silky touch.
SULLY GOAT
Sully Goat Leather comes from Alran S.A.S. in France. Established in 1903 in the South of Tarn, the tannery has developed a vast expertise in the tanning of goat and been producing of the finest leather for luxury brands for over 100 years. The Sully is simply their top grade.
EPSOM GRAINED CALF
It's a top grade leather dyed completely through. This grained leather is scratch resistance.
OSTRICH
Ostrich skin is one of the most elegant skins used in the luxury sector. The skin has a texture characterized by follicles, that is the pores from which the feathers appear. The ostrich leather is flexible, durable and resistant over time. The skins are a byproduct of the farm-raised for the meat and are not subject to CITES certification. Our skins are 100% French.
ALLIGATOR
The alligator is the most noble exotic leather which is used in luxury leather goods. The leathers are from a french tanner (Paris). The activities of this tannery comply with international regulations set by the Convention of International trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). We can produce special skin at your request.
CROCODILE
Crocodile leather is an extremely noble exotic leather which is widely used in luxury leather goods. Our crocodile leather is from a french tanner (Paris). The skins are subject to CITES certification (Appendix II). We can produce special skin at your request.
JAVA LIZARD
The Java lizard leather is native to Indonesia. The Java has small round scales, reminiscent of alligator leather. It's a flexible and resistant leather. Our skins are from a parisian reseller and are subject to CITES certification.
STINGRAY
The stingray is a fish leather. The pearls of the skins we use are sanded for a smooth appearance.
PYTHON
Python leather is a trendy exotic leather mainly used in prestigious leather goods.
SALMON (UPCYCLING)
The salmon skins come from a French tannery that combines traditional know-how and an eco-responsible approach. Coming from French agro-food partners and initially destined for destruction, the skins are transformed into precious leathers. This approach in no way leads to an increase in fishing (upcycling). The tannery favors vegetable tannins composed of leaves, roots or fruits to minimize the impact on deforestation.
SUEDE REINDEER
The skins come from an old Finnish tannery which over the years has developed a luxurious and exclusive product from Scandinavian reindeer skins. The tanning of their skins involves around 40 demanding work steps. The tannery is one of the first in the world to have claimed a certificate for its environmentally friendly production. The luxury of nature!
