HOW TO MEASURE
A WATCH STRAP?

Would you like to entrust us with the making of a bespoke genuine leather watch strap, entirely handmade and hand-sewn in Belgium to equip your timepiece or that of a loved one? It is important to measure some dimensions.

The width of the lug: this dimension is measured at the level of the case of the watch (between the two « lugs ») where the strap strap comes to be fixed. The standard widths are most often: 18mm - 20mm - 22mm - 24mm.

The width of the loop: this dimension is measured inside the loop of your watch strap. The width of the buckle is usually 2mm or even 4mm narrower than the width of the lug and sometimes equal to the width of the lug for a straight watch strap.

The lengths of the two parts of your watch strap: the standard dimensions at Decoster are 115/75, 115mm for the long part and 75mm for the short part. Our atelier Decoster makes bespoke watch straps, so we can adapt these lengths to the dimensions of your choice: 105/65, 125/85, 120/70…
